Eddie C. Campbell is one of the last remaining ambassador of the electric Chicago West Side Blues.
His guitar playing is loaded with feeling, sweet and stinging on the same time. He's groove puts you in trance, make your feet move, gets your rear end shacking.
Eddie C. Campbell began playing guitar at a tender age and prgressed to become a unique and great artist in both the blues and R&B. To this day Chicago's mysic critics are still calling him "One of the Westside's most poular and flamboueant Blues entertainers...
His compositions are overlaid with the guitar lines placed so tightly in the pocket of the beat that his lead guitar almost doubles as a rhythm instrument. He'll spring from traditional Blues to unique groove explosions. Contemporary styles are performed with abandon, classic's with respect.
Mr. Campbell's mother helped him to buy his first guitar at the age of eight... ...after relentless study he learned "Still aFool". Ath the 1125 Club on West Madison Muddy Waters allowed him to sit in with the band; he was twelve years old...
He had his own band backing Percy Mayfield and Little Walter, aged fifteen... ... later he became Jimmy Reed's Band leader for almost a decade...
